Information for Companies

Concept

poly-E-fair is the virtual career fair of ETH Zurich founded in spring 2019. Its virtual nature makes it possible for all parties to meet and exchange information on job openings and career opportunities at low cost without geographic restrictions. poly-E-fair is interdisciplinary and is open to all students and graduates from ETH Zurich. It is a unique networking opportunity for companies and organizations who are looking to recruit talented and highly skilled professionals to make a positive difference to their operations.

Format

poly-E-fair’s online platform offers companies the opportunity to contact ETH students ,researchers and graduates directly. Each participating company owns an individual booth. Various tools such as chat rooms, live streams and a search function for suitable candidates are available to optimize your experience and boost companies’ success at poly-E-
fair.

Company Booths

Participating companies can present themselves in virtual booths. The booths can present different information about the company like links to external websites, documents or a direct application tool. The freedom of the booth design the possibility to include videos, audio recordings and GIFs to the booth,  gives every exhibitor the chance to present themselves in a brand  new way in comparison to classic job fairs.

Live Streams

A career livestream is a live video-broadcast of 30 to 45 minutes, which takes place at your company’s premises. It features one or more of your employees giving authentic insights into daily work and life at your company. Your employees will have the chance to  answer audience questions live. Participants will have the chance to send questions and upvote those of others, allowing your employees to see and answer the most relevant questions.

Are IT-skills required?

No. Specific IT skills are not required for a successful participation in poly-E-fair. All you need to provide is a picture that serves as background of your booth, your company logo, and any kind of digital (marketing) materials that you would like to present to the participants, e.g. flyers, videos, presentations, web-links etc.

How many participants can we expect?

In 2020, we had a record of 30 exhibitors and over 1,500 visitors. Company representatives were excited to interact with this high number of participants. This and the positive feedback from all sides exceeded all expectations.

Participation Fee and Services

We offer a standard and a premium package for the participation.

The standard participation fee is CHF 2500.- (excl. VAT) and includes the following Services:

  • participation in the virtual career fair on 13 April 2021 
  • account on the poly-E-fair platform
  • 8 chat-profiles per company for employees who will attend the event
  • 1 hour of technical support during preparation phase via email, telephone or Skype
  • templates for the individually designed booth
  • access to the public profile information of registered participants
  • virtual tools for the exchange with participants: live streams (limited spots), live chats, talent search function 

Startups receive a discount of CHF 2000.- (excl. VAT) on the standard participation fee, paying a total of CHF 500.- (excl. VAT), under the condition that the registration in the commercial register was not effected more than 36 months ago. Startups are charged extra for participation in live streams (+ CHF 500.-).

The premium participation fee is CHF 5000.- (excl. VAT) and includes the following Services:

  • participation at the virtual career fair on 13 April 2021
  • account on the poly-E-fair website / platform
  • 15 chat-profiles per company for employees who will attend the event
  • 2 hours of technical support during preparation phase via email, telephone or Skype
  • templates for the individually designed booth
  • access to the public profile information of registered participants
  • virtual tools for the exchange with participants: guaranteed participation in live streams, live chats, talent search function
  • highlighted booth on poly-E-fair platform
  • bigger logo on marketing material
  • exclusive interview to promote your company, its specialisation, policies and the working conditions

The maximum number of premium packages is limited to 5 exhibitors.

Deadlines

  • Registration deadline: 15 December 2020
  • Deadline for virtual booth design & content delivery: 15 February  2021

Organizers

poly-E-fair is coordinated by three parties of ETH Zurich: Telejob, Forum&Contact and the ETH Alumni Association.While Forum&Contact and Telejob are student associations targeting ETH Zurich’s Bachelor, Master and PhD Students, the ETH Alumni Association reaches out to graduates of ETH Zurich.

The unique collaboration of the three parties guarantees the best advertisement of poly-E-fair to the ETH community.
